clearance lights
clearance lights
I washed my truck today and noticed there was water in the clearance lights on roof.I removed them to try to dry them but I couldn't. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I go back to dealer or do I silicone them?
Re:clearance lights
I looked at the fog lights in the accessory book and looked at them first hand as I was going to install them.

Seems the roof lights have one (there were 2 or 3 alltogheter) screw that passes through the amber, through the base and into the cabin. I was a little leary of that one screw passing all the way from outside to inside the cab rather unprotected.

You would think that the amber would screw to the base with two screws that only penetrated the base. Then the base would have two screws that penetrated the cab roof. This would protect the interior from any leaky penetrations as the two screws from the base to the cabin roof are weather protected by the amber lens.

Moral of the story Engineers are bright but in many times not practical.
