Cleaning of Electrical Plug Connectors

I want to a take a lot of engine/transmission connectorized plugs apart clean them up and put them back together.

What should I spray on the plugs that will not damage the plastic etc, I would like to spray them and work them in and out and hope this cleans up the connections.

Thanks

I would use some contact cleaner first, insert the plug a couple of times, then put some die electric grease on it for final installation..

This is what I use:

Check out an electronics shop or the shack for availability..
