Class A licence for towing a 10000lb plus trailer in CA?

With all these states that can't make up there mind on there towing laws. And then 1 change can leave your trailer sitting at a check point. Then you have to go hire someone to hook up your trailer move it to the nearest town so you can hook it up again and leave Your just as well to get a CDL to be on the safe side.

I won't complain about Missouri's laws at all! As long as you are not for hire, you can tow whatever you want as long as you don't exceed the weight on your plates. Even farmers, firefighter, etc don't have to have any type of CDL, I know of several farmers who haul their grain trailers without a CDL but as long as they don't bust their 80K lb weight then they are fine on a normal class F license. I know as far as having a class A, as long as you aren't over 26K lbs you don't have to have a class A either. Sounds like once again, California's laws set the bar for the most retarded crap in the US!
