Hello
Rick D
Where did you get your antenna from?? Who makes it?

I have a mag. mount on Leigh Ann's truck but would rather have one like yours. I have been looking down here for that hood/fender mount with no luck.

I tried dual ant. mounted in the front stake pockets but can't find short enough ant when pulling the 5er.
Thanks looking forward to seeing everyone again.
See Ya
Chris

Mount CB in Cubby hole

Has anyone tried mounting there CB in the cubby hole under the HVAC controls? i thought about big bobs, but since i have a 6sp, i think it would interfere with my cupholders.

why would you need shorter antennae for pulling a 5'r If it is that close to your cab you have worse problems than your antennae.

Chris,
The antenna is a 4' firestik II , and the mount is a Dodge Ram firestik hood mount Hood Mount i got them both from premier electronics, the mount is made for the 2nd gen trucks but i put it in a vise and twisted it enough to get the antenna to stand straight up..

I almost did the hood mount thing from P.E., but decided I didn't really like the look of it from inside the cab all the time. So, I got the stake pocket mounts from them. See HERE I know you've got a cover, but I really like the stiks behind the cab. ...just cut some holes in the cover

Then I mounted the radio right under the dash. I've got a buddy who hates it there, but I don't mind it at all. With the angle I sit at, my leg never touches it, I can hear it pretty well and its very easily within reach without taking my eyes off the road....and very quick to install with nothing to fabricate. See HERE

Where is a good place to mount an antenna if you pull a tall, wide fiver so that the fiver doesn't interfere with reception? What type of antenna would work best for pulling fivers?
Thanks....Steve
