Buying Toyos

Getting ready to buy some 35x12.50x17 toyo open country m/ts. price with tax is $310.30/each. They are going to charge $80 to mount a balance and $55 to align the front end. Bringing the total to around $1386.72 including the tennessee sales tax. Is this a pretty decent deal? Getting this all at RPMoffroad in Bristol, TN.

Thanks Guys

I dont know what it is like in Tenn. I just bought a set of Toyo AT , they were listed at 265 ea. I got them to 240. ea. and they bought my BFG half worn for 300. and throw in the mounting and balancing. I personally think you have some room to work with, and bargain in the mounting and balancing.

Well, I'm in Knoxville, TN. I had my 35 x 12.50 x 17 Toyo M/T's mounted and balanced about 18 months ago locally for $40 at Kelley's Tire.

Complete computerized front end alignment at Ralph's Automotive for $40.

Your prices sound just a little high to me.

If you can wait, try treadepot.com. They have pretty good prices on Toyos. Around here, though, those prices are about right from the local tire shops.

Edit: Just checked and they're $1156 a set with free shipping.

Sounds pretty close. In TN we pay almost 10% sales tax. I had 33" Toyo's put on mine balanced, nitro fill for about $1200

Thanks guys, I went ahead and did it through RPM off road. I hate TN sales tax. But I went ahead and bought from them because all they deal with is lifted vehicles, performance, etc. I was really just tired of messing with it. Wish I had known about the treadpost but oh well. Too late now. You all should check out there website though, and there baja trucks, it's pretty cool. RPM Off Road I'd say they know there stuff pretty good. It's about 45 minutes away from the house though, I actually live in Virginia, but there are no off road shops close by.

Thanks again guys.

oh by the way, taking the truck to the dealership tomorow to have new stereo put in because the input jack for the ipod is loose, and fixing the blend door.

you can get a right angle adapter jack, that way the wire comes out, and goes straight down the dash. what i use on mine, less likely to get tangled that way

Yeah I found em way cheaper online after I bought mine too. But I get free rotation and balance every 5K plus if you have any issues with balance (shouldn't not with toyos) it's easier if you bought local.

I bought from treadepot.com and they are a pretty good company and had my tires on the doorstep pretty quick. Will probably use them again when I need new tires. Scotty
