I have about 10,000 miles on them and here are some thoughts. . .

as far as looks go...Cant be beat. The weel wells are full now. No lift, and no rub....see pic's

Value. I bought 5 tires from the H2 dealer for 100 bucks apiece. Paid my tire guy 100 bucks to install all 5. So, for $600 i have a new set of BFG 315's and a spare

I drag a camper on the soft sand of Long Island, and these tires are great. No chance of getting stuck. The stockers just cut the sand like a pizza cutter.

If you tow, you will notice a power loss. Nothing major. I tow a 8,0000 plus LB TT. I have towed 2,000 miles this summer. The truck still gets the job done, but i find myself using Tow/haul mode more now. I NEVER used it before. This is with my EZ on lvl 2. The problem is that i have 3.73 gears, and the truck likes to rev 2,000 RPM for optimum power. @ 2,000 rpm i go at least 75 MPH... a lil fast for towing a 33 foot trailer with the family on board.

Will i put these on again??? YOU BET. the pro's outway the cons Of course, this is JMO

Hope this helps

I agree with dodgedude361. They are the size tire that should have come on these trucks. My truck tows 12,000lb just fine with them too.

17k on my H2 takeoffs, no problems. Rides smoother and quieter, looks better, no wear issues. Would i do it again? Absolutely, as a matter of fact i jsut picked up another set of four for $350.00, they'll sit in the garage until the ones curently on the truck wear out.

You paid $100 to have tires installed? I only pay like $18-22 for a full set of tires to be mounted and balanced.

I am very happy, I have one tire that wore out in the center, but other than that. Great tires! I don't know why that one is bald in the middle, it has 48psi, just like the other rear tire... the other 3 are wearing great. I have 56,000 miles on them and will be very suprised if I don't hit 70k on them. I can run 1800 rpm at 70mph and get great mileage and keep the RPMs in a lower range.
Not to mention, they look GREAT

Last year didn't they come with a 50,000 mile warranty? I swear that's what they guy that sold them to me said...and I thought I read it somewhere.

I tried them and wasn't happy pulling 12,000 pounds with them. Too much power loss (3.73 gears) and the sidewall flex was uncomfortable. Empty they were great and yes, they looked sharp. I ended up going down to a 275 and am very happy only compromising the look from great to good but getting back the power and loaded ride stability.

Life saving tires

I'd have to say that the combination of these tires and my lightning fast reflexes probably saved my life in a recent high speed freeway incident. A car lost control in front of me and went into a slide. I had to hop left, then right to go for the "holeshot", it was amazing how the tires broke loose but seemed to grab the road and hold on. Road conditions: 110 and dry (Phoenix, AZ.)

Thank-you BFG

Talking 315 BFG's

I installed them on my 2000 Dodge 1500 OffRoad and when I traded it for the '03 1 Ton I made the dealer give me my tires so I could keep the high ground clearance. I like the fact that I could run these tire without a lift. I did add 3" and it is a great look and has never given me any problems. I just made a 5000 mile trip to Alaska and the tires never gave me any problems towing 10K in the trailer.

Love the BFGs

They fit great, look good and with 21k miles on they they are wearing very well. Should see 50k out of them easy. They also ride well.

Towing 8k-9k is no issue, but 4.10s might be a better way to go (If I had it to do again I would have gotten 4.10s)

I will go with them again. But they do throw stones, so put on some flares! Solves the problem for your truck and others and it looks even better!

BFG 315/70-17 on Ram 2500 4x4

The BFG 315s fill the wheel well great on a Ram 2500 4x4. However, on the stock wheels they rub on full turns. At 26K miles I a m now having some shake and ride issues even after having all four wheels re-balanced. Unfortunately, the 315s seem to really need wider wheels that the stock Dodge wheels.

I am looking at getting some 19.5 wheels and 285-19.5 tires from http://www.ricksontruck.com/.

Dodge really blew it by not putting bigger tires and wheels on their Ram 4x4 Heavy Duty trucks.
