I agree. I have had them on my 04 for about 28000 miles and they look barely used. They do great in the mud and snow and they look cool too.

In a 75 series the Toyos are hard to beat. They have the stiffest sidewall I've ever seen in a radial and they are tough! I put over 60,000 on my last set of 285/75/17 AT in E rating. They will definately carry anything the truck can handle.

I'm running Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs in a 315/70/17 and they are by far the worst tire I've had on the truck so far. They look great but the truck tries to "skate" when I change lanes, loaded or unloaded. I wouldn't recommend them at all and the next chance I get they're coming off.

I would not go with the Toyo's. I have 265/70/17 stock size E Rated and at 30K miles they are toast I would say about a third of that hitched up to our 5er. I really expected more. They were great in the snow and ice and OK off road (sand). They do have a 50K warranty and I am gonna try to use it.

Who rotated their tires regularly? What were you two running for pressures?
And for the record, TOYO = NITTO. Same tire, different tread.

For the record I rotate every 5K without fail and the tire place has the records and as far as pressures go when I am loaded up I run the back at 80psi I am loading them close to max and the front at 65psi unloaded I am running the same 65 in the front and 55 psi in the back. I have to admit today I bought another set of Toyo's. They have a 50K mileage warranty and I just got 75.00 off of each tire as warranty replacement. So they stood behind their warranty.

Ok, getting those toyos, the m55s...can I get them through discount tire or not? And would a more commercial grade tire hurt empty ride feel? Or not change it much?? Looks like the toss up is between the michelin XPS, and the toyo m55. It'll depend what discount can get. Or maybe neither lol.

I drive pretty hard, fast stops, fast corners type of thing, but I got pretty good mileage out of my BFG's. Some don't. I just wonder why that is.
Nice to hear somebody gave you a break on tires! I don't think the Nitto Dura's I have come with a warranty. I think the smaller sizes do, but not my size.

Jordan my bud has the M-55s on his mega cab cause he hauls heavy like dump loads and pulling his backhoe around, plus he wanted positive traction. The ride isn't bad at all, maybe a tad stiffer but with a full load its alot more stable than before.

Cool, sounds like what I may do! So I should get the load range G instead of E right? Had Es before and they really didn't seem to flex with a full load...or squat rather. Thanks for the help guys!

All the ones I'm finding are E rated on the web, but I know his m-55s are G rated, they aren't E. Gonna have to give him a shout and find out where he got em.

The only thing I don't like about the M55 is that it has a very low speed rating. That was my main deciding factor. I don't drive fast often but the speed rating of the M55's was 140km/h. I have hit that occasionally when passing if the limit is 120ish. Not for long but I still don't like the thought of a 8000lb truck at the speed rating of the tires.... They are "N" speed rated and my Hankook RF10's were "S" speed rated.
