BeadLocks???

Which beadlocks to buy? Which back spacing? I know that kmc beadlocks have 4.5" back spacing... So what other beadlocks are out there?

You can now get the KMC with something like 5.25" or 5.5" b.s. Don't go any less than that unless you run glass fenders and bed sides, unless you're doing a tall lift.

New school beadlocks are fine. The Walker Evans and KMCs have no trouble balancing, and their street manners are no different than any other wheel.

Whats your goal for this?
If you just like the look for a beadlock, get some of the fake locks they sell.

Putting a real beadlock on a 8k lbs truck seems funny to me. You should not be wheeling an 8k lbs truck that hard that justify's a real beadlock.

Why not? When running in the sand at high speed with 15 psi bead locks are a good idea.

No.
Beadlocks are NOT illegal on the street. And DOT or not does not matter.

Bead can still break w/ single beadlocks, thats why hummer H1 rims are good dual beadlocks

I knew I'd get some of you guys in an uproar

I have a friend with about an 8500 chevy on 40's.
He has 36 bolt locks and brakes bolts on the hwy, because of the speed and weight of the rig.

Hummer's are a better choice, but I don't think a 16.5 rim will clear.
