Batteries Failing

Hi All, My 2009 Cummins keep throwing codes about intermittent power, specifically, P2509 ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent. My batteries are both at 12.18 volts, but if I leave it for a week the truck won't start. is this a signal I need new batteries? I don't see any dates and they are MOPAR batteries. Not possible they are original???. Anyone have suggestions?

One of the two batteries from my 2001 is still in use in a 1996 gas job. Any parts store should be able to load test them and tell you if they are good. 12.18 is low voltage though. How long had they been sitting when taking the above voltage?

My truck had set for about two weeks, then I charged up the batteries and ran the truck up to operating temp on the road. I had received ths code before and I do have a load tester, it read in the bottom of the green. I'm thinking new batteries?

When I load test batteries, they have to hold good for 15 seconds and come back up to almost 12.5 volts after a minute.

Nothingbutdarts, Wow thanks for the advice, I've been doing the load test all wrong! Helps sometimes to read the instructions. I'll recheck my batteries. Great help!
