basically new front end, still wanders
Do yourself a favor and check everything from underneath as stated above. I did the same thing to mine last year and had the same issue. One of the new joints on the end of the drag link was sloppier than my old one was. Just because everything is new doesn't mean its any good.
Definitely done with redhead steering gearboxes. First one installed and the pinched the seal for the top cover and screwed up something inside causing it to fail within 50 miles. Second one the top cover was cracked and the sector shaft adjuster was finger tight and leaking. The loosened of the sector shaft was causing most of my steering dilemma
Reminds me of a funny story on my 2011: Took it to the dealer at 32k to have the tie-rod ends replaced under warranty. Didn't notice a lot of difference in the steering on the way home, but they looked brand new so I didn't say anything. Less than a week later I went into Les Schwab to have the tires rotated and they said one of my tie rod ends was bad. I told them they were brand new, they said "yeah, funny isn't it?". I checked it out myself and sure enough- lots of play. Sold it shortly after so I just let it go.
