balancing Procomp Extreme ATs

Hey all,
Having some trouble with shaking at 55-75. According to Robert at www.innovativebalancing.com , (who is a stand up guy willing to go the extra mile for his customers) a tire balancing machine can balance tires with beads in them as long as the tire doesn't spin so fast as to set the beads in place by centrifugal force. Is there a brand of tire balancing machine that will spin slowly that I can look for to do this.

thanks Jamie

A tire balancing machine that spins slowly I have not heard of. When we balance tires with bead locks we select the static type of balance on the machine. What size are the rims and tires? How did they balance your tires? How much weights does each rim has? Did you try switching the tires from front to back and does it still shimmy?

My extreme A/T's didn't balance well on the machine but they don't shake on the road at all. I'd try swaping front to rear as well, may even be a bent wheel. Good luck.

In my area an America's Tire does the best job of balancing, compared to several shops. They use a Hunter balancer, but I didn't notice what the others use.

OK, forget about balancing your tire and get yourself a set of Centramatic Balancers from Mr. Truck
With these you don't need to balace the tires and they work great

Ok here's an update,

Well after much research and talking to several people, I think I know why my truck is shaking. The two back tires aren't mounted on the wheels properly. I put the entire truck on jack stands today and cranked it, put it in 4WD and let the tires spin at idle. The two fronts spin absolutely perfect. Both back tires wobble as they spin. As far as I can tell the wheel spins straight just the tires are mounted funny causing a wobble as it spins.

Back to the tire shop.
