Many people have great success with Dental floss to saw through the rubber backing and use Naphtha (Ronsonol or Zippo Lighter fluid) to remove the sticky backing.

I used a hair dryer. Heated up the badge then slowly pulled it off. If there was any adhesive left I just used a little nail polish remover (dont tell your wife

I've added badges..........
Actually took the black spears off .....was able to lift a corner with my finger and pulled them off (an advantage of living in the hot sun of Florida. I used some fishing line to remove the SLT emblem. I have a drill "eraser" to get the residue off and then some alcohole to clean up. Replaced the black spears with chrome spears. Put the SLT emblem under "HeavyDuty" with new 2 sided tape and put a fender Cummins badge under the 4X4.
