Automatic Bed Light???

A strange thing happened the other evening. I was loading some tires up and into the bed of my truck and not being too gentle about it. About the 3rd good bounce of a tire onto the tail gate and the light for the truck bed turns on. I didn't know that it would do that with motion detected. Is it supposed to do that?

Did you have your keys in your pocket? Do you have the remote with them also? You might have just bumped the remote in your pocket

That's probably it. Dang! I thought I stumbled onto a way cool feature; a truck that senses when you are working in the truck bed and lights the light for you automaticly.

Keyless remote

Just think of all the other times you might of accidently unlocked your truck while doing something else around your place, and not realized it,when I am at home I do'nt even keep my truck keys in my pocket for that reason.

I think I'm going to investigate what it would take to activate the rear light by dropping the tailgate. If it isn't too much trouble, that would a neat feature. Otherwise, I guess I'll just hit the unlock on my key fob to light the bed light.
