If anyone in these forums have a 07 ram and dont like the new taillights, I will trade you out with my 06 taillights. I bought the truck two weeks ago. No scratches at all. I will pay shipping.

 

According to my son, who is a Dodge Salesman, the taillight lenses are interchangable but we're not so sure about the wiring. I've got an '07 on order and I don't really like the new taillights either so we looked into it. You have to swap out the entire taillight lense, light-bulb 'stick' and the wiring all the way back to the main harness at the frame. That is IF the wiring is interchangable, we don't know yet. We're going to check once I get my truck. He's got an '03.
The light-bulb sticks, for lack of a better description, are NOT interchangable, the spacing is different for an '07 than from an '06 or earlier.

 

I too like the 07 tail lights and was looking into. Someone had mentioned that the 07 lights are a 2 bulb and the earlier models are a 3 bulb. The lights will fit but you have to splice the wires.
Do a search for 07 light swap you'll find more on the subject.

 

I didn't like the 07 lights at first, but they've grown on me.

 

I like 'em too, must be a fungus of sorts.
