Anyone have these on their truck?
Personaly I thank you for the warning but will be getting them anyways. ONLY because my stock lights are FUBAR'ed and need to be replaced to pass inspection. The ebay ones are cheaper for a set then a single stock light (speaking loads on their quality....or lack there of) but will let me pass inspection and keep me from getting a ticket. I dont care much at all for the led's or halo's. like I said I'll be wiring them seperate so I dont have to use them all the time.....or may not wire them at all. I will however, after reading your posts, be saving up to get some better ones. These will have to get me by till then tho. Thank you for the heads up on their quality.
Do you think that using the stock headlight bulb or a good aftermarked bulb would make a differance......or do they suck so bad because of the lack of 'reflective' area (aka the chrome 'bowls' on the stock and nightrunner lights)?

I second what GhettoVaquero stated. I ran a set of eBay projector lenses on an S10 I had and the light output of the projector housing was nowhere near as much as stock housings. Projector housings were designed to be used mostly in conjunction with HID lighting, as it focuses the HID beam better than sealed beam housings. That is why you see projector housings OEM from higher end cars like BMWs, Lexus', Benz's, etc.
Unless you are planning to simultaneously upgrade to a full HID setup (not just "HID" bulbs, but the entire true HID conversion) I wouldn't bother. The projector lights got stolen off my S10 when I was parked outside a night club in San Antonio and, to be honest, I was glad they did as it gave me an excuse to put sealed beam housings back on the truck which made driving at night MUCH less worrisome.
