Anyone with an 06 put an 07 cup holder in?

I have an 06 and that POS thing on the floor so its hard to ride 6 people with out having someone put there feet on that plastic peice. I see the 07's have a cup holder that folds down from the dash. Anyone change this yet and what is involved? Thanks

I think the 06 had the fold down cup holder..........im pretty sure it all depended on weather you have a manual transfer case or not.

it covers up the rear air ducts. I don't let anyone sit there.

Fold down cup = Electronic 4x4 Shift?

My 06 QC has manual 4x4 shift and has the floor console.

06 mega, the quad cabs don't have the rear air vents. I am pretty sure the console is standard only in the Megas because of the rear ducting has to be covered up.

C4 Max has it straight. You can't remove the floor console on the Megacabs because it covers the rear air ducting. I have had mine out a couple times and don't really see a way to remove it cleanly.

And all Megacabs have the electronic shift on the fly 4x4 for the same reason. The air ducting runs through where the transfer case lever would be.

How about just removing the duct work? Then you can put the fold down cup holder in. Besides, why does the mega cab need more air to the rear over a quad cab? It's not THAT much bigger.

I was thinking about making some kind of "console" addition that would sit down on top of the floor molding to create a kind of "table" with cup and crap holders that were higher off the floor. Nobody is ever gonna sit in the (my) middle seat up front anyway. Maybe if you plugged the ducting to the rear, the A/C would blow better!!

It was just about 100* here today. With temps like that I'd rather have AC blowing on my family than a fold-up cupholder...

So what's the problem? The mega cab is only what, 6/8 inch's longer than a quad cab? Why does the mega cab need the exta cooling flow to the rear? If the mega needs it maybe I need to retro fit my QC to the mega cab AC cooling system.

I don't remember the exact number, but the Megacab is like 20" longer than the quad cab.
