Another fix for the A/C?
Another fix for the A/C?
My '06 has the temperature difference between the passenger and drivers side vents, the passenger side being a couple degrees warmer. Looking at pictures of the box, there is two seperate blend doors, one for each side. For the dual climate control, each side has its own servo, and on the regular a/c, there is only one servo motor to drive both sides. From what I understand the dual climate control doesn't have the temperature difference problem.
What if a dual climate control blend door box was installed in a regular a/c system so there is two servos to control the blend doors so that the doors make a positive seal on both sides, instead of one servo driving both doors. This would eliminate the twist on the shaft from only one servo motor driving both doors.
Anyone given this any thought? Has this been covered before? Would both servos be able to be wired together? Just use one for position indication.
