Are all trucks wired for heated seats etc.

and just not used if that option was not included? My 06 has leather unheated seats. My wife liked her heated seats on a previous model and also wants something softer than the leather. She would like air seats but I have yet to find anyone that makes any at a reasonable price.
If I buy used heated seats from a salvage yard, can I make them work and have any of you done this and did it ride softer than the leather?

I don't know about the 3rd gens, but my 2000 didn't come with the wiring, whole different harness for the heated seats.

Why not just get an aftermarket seat heater kit. They sell them all over the place.

My truck has (99% sure anyway) the wiring in the dash for the switch, but there is no wiring under the seat for em. I do have add in leather and would love to go heated.

I think im gonna just add some aftermarket heaters and wire them to the factory switch myself. Ill just make my own wire harness.

if the truck came with heated seats where is the switch located on the door??

also if only the driver side is a power seat, is the wiring already there on the passenger side? as if i came up with a power pass seat just plug it in??

My 06 is power driver side only, but under the passenger front seat is a harness plug that comes up through the floor. Cloth interior, no heated seats, if that makes a difference.
