Air horn kit - where to install?

I bought a compressor, tank, horn and everything else necessary for an air horn on my truck. I do not want to mount the compressor and tank in a tool box in the bed. That is not an option at all. Can I mount the compressor under the hood somewhere? Or would the underhood heat affect the compressor? Also, where is a place under the truck for the tank? Thanks in advance!

There are some that have mounted them on the frame.

That is what I was thinking of doing. I am unsure of just how small/large the compressor is. I doubt it is big enough to warrant mounting in the bed or in a tool box. I think I will mount the horn behind the front bumper sideways. I just want to know if mounting the compressor under the hood is okay. I would like the compressor to be somewhat protected from road debris and water.
