Ah Crud! P0069!

I was getting a flicker from my backlighting of my Bully Dog Outlook. The manual indicates it might be the connection in the fuse box. Checked it out and made sure it was ok. Then started looking through the menus on the monitor and learning a little about it. Got to the "select vehicle" menu and couldn't back out of it. Had to make a selection. Turns out there are several selections for the 05 Dodge. A couple for 01-05 and a couple for 03-05. Uh oh. So I selected what I thought was the most appropriate: 03-05 Dodge TD09, which is what I thought it was previously set to. Cranked her up and now I am throwing P0069 (that's the only code showing), showing a CEL, on top of that, the truck runs like it's choking. No power. I figure I erased or messed up the BD programming when I selected the vehicle. I bought the truck with the monitor, but the PO apparently kept the Triple Dog programmer. Looks like I'll be buying one.

Anybody know whether I can get my truck reflashed at the dealer and clear this up, at least until I can find a programmer? Better yet - anybody in the Stafford, Va area have a Triple Dog programmer who would be willing to reprogram my pickup?

P0069 MAP/BARO Correlation

Disconnect the Outlook Monitor and unhook the batteries for a few minutes and see if that helps at all.

I get that code and check engine light every other week, engine derates for a little while and goes away. i don't know if it is the map sensor plug or the fact I have a bhaf and the baro sensor is hanging loose. lots of things could possibly be causing it.

The truck seems to be running ok, except that it's getting no boost. Almost like the turbo is switched off or something. I'm going to try Mega's suggestion and see what that does.

Good news! The reset worked. I removed the pos cable of both batteries, unplugged everything from my BD monitor and let it sit a few minutes. Then I hooked the batteries back up and started. CEL still showed and no boost. I shut it back down and reconnected the monitor, then restarted. CEL was still on, but the truck felt better. After a couple hundred yards of driving the CEL went off and all is back to normal. Everything is right with my world.

Happy, happy, happy!
