Aftermarket Stereos - How do they look in the Dash

Ive put off get an aftermarket receiver for a while now. I would like the bluetooth functionality that they can provide, as well as HD Radio without extra equipment hanging around. I would also like the Ipod control as well. MOST of this is available with a stock unit... except HD radio.

I know a 2005+ RBQ can handle MP3 cd's, and you can get an Ipod control cable, and Sirius all with stock equipment. Sirius will run about $300 for the stock equipment, an RBQ can be sourced from a Junkyard for ~150, and the Ipod control is $200, $300 for the Bluetooth.

So... for what I want I am looking at $1000.

I can do without the Sirius... so then Im looking at $700.

However, i can get better equipment with aftermarket stuff, but the wife hates how they normally look, and then they become a theft target. Ive already had one vehicle broken into and the amp / head unit stolen. Not trying to go too expensive in this truck for that reason.

So... how does you aftermarket receiver look in the dash with the install kits?

Any pics?

Might not help you, but here are some of my screen. Gives you an idea of the install kit and its finish. It actually looks good IMO, and I love the screen!

Of course the screen retracts and the bottom detaches for security.

Its actually a Scosche install kit, I've used these kits in all of my vehicles and have been pleased with their durability and fit.
