Aftermarket Grills/Grill Shells.........

I would like to swap out the chrome grill shell on my truck for a black grill, from something like the Sport package trucks have.

I have been unable to find any used black shells (at a decent price), so I have started looking at other options......

What do you guys think of these:

Option #1:

-------------------------------------

Option #2

------------------------------------

On this:

----------------------------------

Or should I just buy a plain stock replacement grill for $50(ish) and have it painted (about $110).

Option #3

I like the 1st one the best. I'd love to have that on my truck.

Hahaha, no problem.....I like help others spend their $$$$$$$$

I really like #2 also.

I think #1 looks like a Ford front grill.

The #2 looks really different and looks aggressive.

Anyone with Photoshop skills????????

i'm seriously considering just ordering #2- i agree, it does look aggresive and different from the ones you see in every catalogue. the credit card is coming out of the wallet as we speak!

If #1 looks like a Ford, #2 looks like a Lincoln.

I have # 1 in chrome on my truck. After one year the chrome
is fading and there is small pit marks on the bottom rail.
Hope you have better luck with painted one.

I bought a grill similar (maybe the same) from this co. on Ebay. I painted it and installed my stock honeycomb inserts and put it on my truck. Pretty reasonable cost I thought. I am about to pull it back off and repaint it again as it has been on the truck for about 2 years in the Texas sun.
