I've got a double din unit in mine. Just trimmed the original dash piece to fit, filled the stupid half circles with a piece of black plastic from an installation kit, and it looks pretty decent. I thought about getting the Nav dash piece, but I HATE the woodgrain and plan to eventually do something with it/to it anyhow so figured I'd wait until I figure out exactly what I am going to do.

how to mount aftermarket Nav unit in non-nav truck?
what kind of brackets to use?
i know i will need a 1CP581J8AA bezel:
http://www.hunt-radio.com/ServiceParts2.aspx
but how do you physically bolt the unit to the dash?

. I started with the small factory dodge radio, and swaped to the nav dash. I will pm you with the parts you would need to install it to look stock.

what did you pay for the bezel? the ebay for $52 + S&H is cheapest i have found.
crutchfield included the can bus adapter for $39 (regular 70)
that should control the power properly

The Metra install kit has ears that line up with factory holes in the dash that are there for the install of double din units. So it bolts right in with a couple of (4) course thread screws.

custom fit double din
I dont know why dodge in there 06-07 models didnt make the radio double din but I had to do some triming to get it to fit and it went in real nice
as you can see at the bottom where I made the cut of that little piece of plasitc and I used elbow bracketts to hold the radio in place as you can see where the volume *** was at......later ill go in and fill that hole with a piece of plastic from a single din kit or something......

I have the pioneer D3. I ordered the factory nav bezel and the Tetra install kit to reduce the opening. I also used the periphial harness adapter from cruchfield to hook up the VSS and reverse signal wires. I willtry to post some pics later.
