advertising costs?
advertising costs?
Did All you guys that bought trucks at invoice based pricing (+/- what ever your deal was) get stuck with advertising costs as well ? The last time I did this was in '97 and I cant remember if I had to pay it then or not. I just talked to my dealer about my order and he mentioned the advertising cost [undecided]

"Junk Fees"
Until you sign the paperwork, everything is negotiable
.
Ask nicely if they will consider removing what you consider junk fees.
If not, you always retain the option to sign, or walk out.
And see how long it take the salesman to pick up his jaw, and chase you across the parking lot
It's a gamble.....Do you feel lucky? ;D

Re:advertising costs?
around here there were no trucks I wanted(HO, longbed,4x4,quad cab) So I made the deal over the phone, $500 over invoice, minus all incentives. I drove from North of Pittsburgh to VA to pick it up and they dropped the price after i got there to $300 over invoice, minus $1000 DC rebate. Only fee was a $39 processing fee, so I didn't mind. ;D

Re:advertising costs?
Mine was invoice minus incentives. Invoice included national (I think they called it) and local advertising. Came to about $600. I knew that would be on there. They showed me the invoice at closing. I felt they were very fair.

Bob
Re:advertising costs?
What Kelly and Edmunds say is Invoice is not necessarily what the dealer is invoiced for the vehicle. In some areas dealers are billed to pay for area advertising. All dealers in the area are invoiced for these charges. In No. California, an expensive TV market, dealers are invoiced $500 per vehicle.
