There is an add on Ebay for Diesel Cruise Control for $69.

It says all you do is add the switches to the steering wheel and you have cruise. Is this possible? Are all the trucks equipped with the rest of the system and just need these controls?

I don't think they would risk there sellers score for a $69 scam, I would say that it was true!!

 

I did on my '04. I bought switches from dodge for... I think $32. They plug right in to the factory connectors. If you decide to do this, make sure you disconect the battery so the airbag doesn't accidently deploy.

 

For the most part, this is true. On some of the 03's and early 04 auto's you had to add the vacuum pump and a whole bunch of other stuff, but it works on all the manual trans trucks 3rd gen. The 04.5 and up it works just fine too, manual or auto.

 

It's amazing that the Dodge dealer where I'm buying my truck didn't know this. I almost didn't go through with the purchase because it didn't have cruise!
