C Schomer Some very good points but the reference towards corrosion or sediment pooling in the core dont concern me since I routinely store my truck for months anyway.
I am not worried about space. the 3" bodylift cures that for me! LOL thanks anyways.

You may also be not full on the A/C charge. That was my case.

So if you do this mod can you turn the AC down if it gets to cold in the cab? I use the outside air setting pretty much all the time.

With this mod you won't be able to mix heat with the AC, if that's what you mean. Don't think it's a problem here in Texas in the summer time. When fall comes open the valve to have heat.

The only issue is I leave for work at 5:15 in the morning and I have to turn my AC down about 3 to 4 notches each morning because the AC gets to cold. Now coming home in the afternoon I want it on full cold. So even on the outside air setting I still cannot turn it down early in the morning?

Turn the valve on in the morning, turn it off in the evening. Either that or just turn the Max AC button off.

I don't want to have to mess with the valve twice a day. I never use recirculate on the AC so I will assume with running it on fresh air I could still control the temp with the valve installed.

With the valve closed, you'll not be able to change the A/C air temp. With the valve open, the system will function as if the valve was not there.
