AC Help

I am having problems with my fan blowing air. The motor comes on and you can hear it get louder as you turn the speed up with the ****. However, the is only a very minimal amount of air coming out of the vents. Like it is barely even blowing. Anybody have any thoughts as to what might be wrong?
TIA

Sound like one of the doors is broken, could be the recirc door or blend door. Well known problem. There's tons of reading to be had if you search for recirc door and blend door.

Good luck.

If it doesn't change directions when you turn the ****, to floor, panel, etc. Then it's probabbly the blend door.

I had this happen and it was the recirculation door that broke and was blocking the air flow. Pull the fan motor, it is underneath the glovebox by the floorboard. It has 3 bolts, and an electrical plug. Reach up in there and you will feel the broken recirc door, pull it out, and your fan will work fine. You will no longer have the ability to switch from fresh air to recirculate, but mine has been this way for over a year and is no problem.

It changes the air flow with defrost, vents, and floor. When blowing out of the floor, it blows what I would think would be the normal amout of air corresponding with fan speed.

Thats exatly what the problem was. I pulled out the recirculation door and will probably just leave it as is for now. Thanks for your help.
