Man I went today and had my muffler removed and put a 4" to 6" TIP on my truck and NOTHING!!!

I mean it did'nt change the sound a bit, now I don't want to blow my warranty, so does anybody know what else to do to make this BABY have some sound, I will even settle for some TURBO noise, Is there a silencer ring somewhere or baffle????????????

 

My brother got a nice deep rumble with a muffler delete and the Superchips programmer set on 100 hp. He has the 2007.5 6.7l as well.

 

I love to have the Jake have some bark to it, more so than the engine sounds.

 

The jake will never make noise. The only noise it will make is the sound of compressed air. It is an exhaust brake not a compression release(like on a big truck). I think you'll have to remove the cat and dpf's to make the exhaust rumble. This will throw codes and de-rate the engine. Rumor has it there are some programmers, downloaders should be out soon with an off-road setting so you can remove the exhaust system.

 

ya unfortunately the only way to make these things sound good is you would have to remove the particulate filter... they are Very restrictive... and it muffles most of the sound. A Full cold air intake has increased "turbo" sound a fair amount. you can really hear it spool.
