4x2 Dually Tires

What is the biggest tire you can run without raising the front end? I want to try lowering my cruising RPM when I need new tires.

Thanks,

Joe

I wouldn't go to any other size without putting wheel spacers in.. my tires are only about 1" apart as is when loaded. I wouldn't want them any closer.... But with spacers I have seen 285's. I am not a fan of the spacers but if you don't tow heavy I think they would be ok!!!???

Sky, There are no tires that are bigger in diameter that are not wider. If you want to lower your cruising rpms get a us gear od from Scheid. They were around $1400. If you had 4.1 they would raise to 3.73, 3.73 would be like 3.39. They can be hooked up to give you 7 gears... as in it shifts the added od between each shift. Great if you tow heavy or cool for maximum mileage especially with a good torque converter. ks

Most likely you will have to go with 19.5" setup to get taller tires and still be narrow.
