Can you just pull onto a cat scale at a fuel station?
I pulled onto one the other day but there was a call button for the scale master, I didn't push it as it was way up in the air, and I wasn't sure if I'd have to pay or not.

I have been to several CAT scales and weighed my truck and truck and trailer combo. Usually the fee runs about $8.50 or so. Just pull onto the scales. You should be able to go in and pay your fee and get a weight from them right then.

You can even go there, weigh with your trailer.....leave....then come back later in the day and weigh just your truck, for example....for no extra charge.

That is an incorrect statement.....the values on the door placards are the rated GVWR.

My 2007.5 MegaCab (see signature) has a GVWR of 10,100 lbs but at a recent truck pull with 3/4 tank of fuel, The Blue Bus weighed in at 7,850 lbs empty.

I no longer drive the parkway near my house because I don't want to argue with Johnny Law about whether or not I MIGHT be over the 9000# weight restriction on that road.
