I'm going to have to BZZZZZZZZZT myself as right too. Everybody has their own opinion to how many miles they get out of a tire and how quiet it is. I speak from my own experience as you speak from your own experience. Some people claim they get 50,000 miles out of an super swamper or mud terrian on a 6000lb truck. some people claim they only got 20,000 miles out of a street tread. Some people just want the newest design despite anything else. Some people claim their poo doesnt stink. I tend to not listen to any of that mess. I know what works for me and i will not put anything that says nitto or yokohama or sayonara or whatever the heck else they call those tires on my truck. i think they look horrible, from my experience they dont last as long either.

I agree the BFG A/T 285/70/17 last a long time. Mine lasted a little over 50k. But when they went, they went. They started cracking badly on the edges showing wire and one blew.
They also slipped alot in wet conditions.
But they were good against Mesquite thorns.

If you are driving in red clay, wouldn't you be better off with the BFG M/T?
My A/T clogged up all the time with our Texas clay/mud.

clemson725,
They/we are giving you a hard time because of your attitude. Lighten up.

Opinions are like a$$ holes, everyone has one!

True, if i were in the red clay a lot, i would get mud terrains, and truthfully no more miles than i put on my truck now (less than 15,000/yr), mileage isnt so much of a factor. As soon as i got them though, i'd have to start driving more, and i'd regret buying them. No more than it's rained here in the last 5 years, all of the red clay is now red cement. I dont care much for tire noise either.

Nobody is giving me a hard time. It takes a lot more than that to get under my skin. i'm kinda asking for it too. i love a good friendly argument.

Were are you from? Its not on your screen.

Here in Texas we have been in a drought all winter. My winter wheat never did anything more than sprout and then wither up.

Yep. Unlike some, Mr. 2000+ club, I don't feel the need to put my opinion on every thread in a forum.

The last laugh is on you. You're from Canada.

The man asked a simple question....it would be nice if he could get a simple answer without all the smart a$$ opinions. Why is there any need for a come back.(why insult anyone?) You apparently like reading your own words. If you don't have anything relevant to say, don't say it.

That's why I tend to be a short lived visitor to forums. The answers you get are never for the questions you ask. So much I could say to canadian, but the bickering would be better suited for someone who cared.
