2009 Stereo/Bluetooth question

My dad just got an 09 laramie. He had a hard time finding exactly what he wanted, and his came with nav and backseat entertainment. He doesn't want all that, and wants just the 6 disc that has an input for his ipod. Is it possible to switch to this and keep his factory bluetooth active? Or is there an adaptor available somewhere to add ipod feature to his nav radio? We heard there was that just required unhooking the rear entertainment. Anyone heard of this? Thanks.

You can keep the Nav unit and buy an adapter for Ipod integration. You could down grade to a 6-disc in dash, as well. Both can retain your Uconnect Bluetooth. And yes, you do have to disconnect the rear DVD for it to work.

Here's a thread on another forum where a guy just did it.

Here's the adapter.
