2007 5.9 cummins ac problems

I have a 2007 5.9 cummins and recently my a/c and my fan clutch went out I replaced both of them and had the a/c vacuumed and recharged everything works great it's ice cold and the fan clutch is working the only problem is the ac compressor kicks on really hard when I first engage it and then it will continue to kick on and off every 30 seconds or so it idles like crap the idle tone is constantly changing I can't figure it out i know I have enough freon and the ac never goes warm it's always ice cold

Any ideas?

With the engine off and the A/C clutch released, can you turn the compressor by hand? If not, you may have a faulty compressor or an overcharge condition.

What do you mean by that?

I had the same problem for a while, and then the A/C stopped working altogether. The compressor is only 14 months old.

The compressor clutch was no good kept kicking its self in and out if I was you I would check and make sure your fan clutch is good they are known to go out or like in my case the wires get cut by the fan if your fan clutch is out it will cause your compressor to kick in and out and eventually cause it to go out all together
