I just picked up an 07 w/ the 5.9. You can still find them. From what I understand, the seat fabric is different for 07. Mine has this "YES" no stain, no static etc...type stuff. I know the 06's had a bad problem w/ staining.

The 5.9 available in 07 is basicly the same as an 06 from what I've read here....Grab it if you can. The 6.7 that has started to replace the 5.9 is totaly different ...thanks EPA

06 Or 07 With the 5.9 would be my opinion. Less electrical crap and its the first year for the 6.7 so you know how that goes.

Tail lights and headlights are different.

As far as seats go, the 07.5 laramie with 6.7 I drove felt like the seats were more comfortable than my 07 laramie 5.9 I bought. Felt like they had more padding but it could just have been me thinking that?

I also noticed the 07.5 6.7liter trucks didn't have the fake wood grain on the SLT models anymore like the 06's had.

Summary: 07 5.9 has better headlights, worse tail lights, and no wood (better IMO).

There is a 5.9 07 here at the local dealership. Did they change the center console out for a boxy plastic thing that looks like crap for 07?? I had never seen it before!

Do yourself a favor and drive the 6.7 with the six speed auto! After that, do what you want.

I just picked up an 07 5.9 at Dave Smith's in Idaho for $900 under invoice. They still have some 5.9s available and offer great deals. With the 08s rolling onto the lots dealers should be motivated to get ride of the 07s now especially the 5.9s. Take a look under the hood of both engines. You will be amazed at the amount of emission crap on the 6.7 engines. IMO they had to bump up the discplacement to keep the HP and TQ roughly the same due to the restricted air flow on the new engines. I am very happy with my 5.9. They are time proven.

Yeah, I saw a 07 that had no center console, instead the cup holders were below the main bezel and you could close and open them giving room to put your feet if your riding with someone in the center. This is the way that the 1500s have it.

Also, the 4x4 shifter was gone and replaced with shift on the fly controls for the 4x4.

The 4x4 shift lever is standard on the 07 5.9 heavy duties, the push button is an option in the heavy duties but standard on 1500's. The dealer where I bought my 07 had a mix of 2500's with levers and push button. I opted for the lever and less cup holders.
