2005 intermitant wipers acting up

My 2005 intermitant wipers are acting all goofy, they will sweep 3-8 times in a row on the slowest setting...or they will work ok for a minute & then bugger up again...only on the intermitant settings.
Is It the switch or the relay?
Thanks,
Doug

X2 - my 05 is doing the same thing. Took it to the dealer but it started behaving again so all the diagnostics checked ok. Been going on for the last 6 months. So far it always seems to work the way it's supposed to if I put it on 'full' speed - but intermittent works the way Doug describes.

Nelly - Did that work? Mine will turn on very slowly then start to speed up. Some times they don't start at all but if I pull on them a bit they will start to work. Did the relay fix your issues?

I have the same problem sometimes. Exactly as described here, then wipers will just randomly cycle without me touching the switch. Did changing the relay help?

Mine has been doing the same thing for a while now and I have never found a fix short of replacing the motor.
