Question 2005 Dodge Cummins electrical problem

Problem exists only when hauling a trailer. Intermittently all gauges stop working and ac quits. Engine continues running, but will not start if it is turned off. Will start again and back to normal when it cools. Temp gauge does not register hotter than normal when this happens. Seat belt, and a light between the speedometer and temp gauge, fuel indicator, and engine problem indicator are the only things on the dash that are active at the time of the problem.
