2005 Dodge Cummins electrical problem
Problem exists only when hauling a trailer. Intermittently all gauges stop working and ac quits. Engine continues running, but will not start if it is turned off. Will start again and back to normal when it cools. Temp gauge does not register hotter than normal when this happens. Seat belt and a light between the speedometer and temp gauge are the only things on the dash that are active at the time of the problem.
"but will not start if it is turned off. Will start again and back to normal when it cools"
Does that mean it will crank but not start?
Or does that mean it will not crank at all?
Is there something in the trailer wiring that is drawing excessive amperage?
Is it possible to hook up temporary trailer light wiring and see if the problem persists?

Loosing gauges intermittently
Did not check fuses.as problem is intermittent. When it does happen, the engine will crank and not start, and all gauges are still not displaying. When it cools, it will start and run normally and gauges return to normal. Thanks for replys.
