2003 rack and pinion

Hi all,
Not sure if my signature is still here ..But membership is. Sold my last ctd 2 years ago ...bad move need a real truck again .Looking at a 2003 3500 single wheeel 2wd with 100,000 at a dealer, have not talked or tested yet. I noticed that it has a newly installed rack and pinion.... were they prone to problems? Also any issues with the new injector system and turbo for that year...
Tks

No, the racks are not prone to failure. The injectors can be after 150,000 or so miles without a pressure box being ran. The 03' years have an o'ring that can fail. You will notice long crank times on this year when they get week. Easy to spot.
