Does anyone have a part number for a hood liner for the 2003? I've done a search on this forum for it, and have read alot about people complaining about not getting one as Dodge did some cost cutting, but need to find out if it's available from anywhere.<br><br>I know that on my 2002 Ram, I was able to give them a 2001 part number for the hood liner, and it fit exactly. Problem is I can't find a number anywhere for the '03...does anyone know if the '01 will fit?

 

im not aware of any from the factory but u can try this link...hoos liners and wrap

Yes,<br>my 02 1500 had the hood liner &amp; few other trim pieces that DC deleted on 03's &gt;

 

speaking of deleated things <br><br>my 02 had undercoating my 03 does not<br><br>my 02 had underhood light my 03 does not<br><br>my 02 had body side mouldings my 03 does not

 

Mine has undercoating all over the underside of the truck...and I negotiated for the body side mouldings. I don't know the if undercoating is an option but it came that way from the factory. SLT option maybe?

 

I have the SLT and I don't see any undercoating. Much of the running gear is bare metal and rusty.

Ok, here is the latest POOP. The Undrehood lamp &amp; Cup holder Lamp is now part of the Light Package. Yes the underhood sound isolation has been deleted do to DC being CHEAP so has the matching spare tire now all you get is a black steel wheel.<br>You would think that when you buy the LARIME the Light package, matching spare, &amp; underhood sound isolation would come standard BUT, NOOOOOOOO DC is CHEAP!!!! ;D ;D ;D

 

Let's face it, they were built in Mexico...how much would it have cost DC to pick up a few of those brightly colored Mexican blankets the street vendors were alway selling in Nogales? A couple of those under the hood would have added to the value of the truck....insulation for the hood and always an available blanket for those rare romantic moments away from the kids

 

i have the slt and dont have any undercoating<br><br>i built my truck on the internet many times and never seen any option for undercoating<br><br>maybe the mexico trucks do not get undercoating and the US built trucks do ???<br><br>i plan on undercoating it myself when i get time and it cools off<br><br>i dont know if it will help or make any differance what do you think<br><br>i did notice that the insulation from the firewall now runs all the way back under the transmission tunnel<br><br>i wonder if this just comes with the re48 or if the 47 has this insulation there too

 

There was a guy on the &quot;other&quot; site that worked for a sub-contractor that provided hood liners for DC. They had made prototypes for DC that they ultimately decided not to use. He was going to get his employer to sell them through the internet, but something in their vendor agreement with DC made that impossible for them. Oh well. The undercoating ONLY came from the Lagos assembly plant in Mexico and it was not an option, it was just something that they did, unfortunately Lagos has either been shut down or no longer does Rams. I am almost certain that the Saltillo and St. Louis plants have never shipped undercoated trucks.

 

My dealer was kind enough to let me take a 6 shooter overnight to test drive. Imagine lifting the hood on your 35k truck at night and no light &gt; &gt; &gt; The truck I bought had the light group, so I have one light for the right side of the engine compartment. I plan to add another lamp and hood liner eventually. Just had to vent
