Angry 2003 3500 batteries keep dying

I have a 2003 ram 3500 diesel. The batteries check out ok and the alternator checks out good. If you park it for over 6 hours it drains the batteries down. Have every thing unplugged and turned off. If you pull the cables off the batteries it keeps sparking like there is a short some where or something is still on. Anyone have any suggestions?

My friend had a similar problem with his Volkswagen (I know...not a Dodge) and it was the ignition switch.

Something to consider.

Something is drawing power. Could be a faulty switch or a short circuit in the wiring. Do you have accessories with loose wires running all over the place and no fuses? Hook an ammeter in line with the positive cable and start pulling fuses until the meter drops to zero. Now that the perp is isolated, start tracing the circuit looking for sloppy connections, insulation cuts, burnt wire etc.
