09 Amp

My truck came with a factory amp for my infinity speakers and if the window sticker is correct it is a 500 watt Alpine. The amp has blown out my front passenger door infinity and I have replaced it with the Kickers. I do not want to blow out he Kicker so can anyone tell me if there is an adjustment on the amp?

The part number on the amp is 56046001AG.

I would appreciate any help.

First thing I would do is check the power rating of the new speakers. If its a good set of Kickers I doubt the factory amp could blow it out.

Even the higher grade factory Alpine stuff is pretty low grade.

The new speaker has a 175w rating but if I turn it all the way up it sounds distorted and pops hard. If I change it to the other side of the truck it sounds clear. I think the amp might have a bad channel on it.

I would agree, sounds as if the amp would be the culprit.

Ebay has Kicker amps for the Dodges ~$200. Check your local wrecking yard for an out of wrecked Dodge. You could probably get it real cheap.
