just got the chrome factory bugshield..........I have a question about installation

when I bought my truck they had an aftermarket grille insert in the grille.....
it appears to me that the clips that hold on this bugshield go into the 4 holes that are in the top of the grille openings.....I'm not sure the shield will fit with this aftermarket grille in it....

has anyone used this bugdeflector with an aftermarket grille insert?

 

I bought an after market grill and it did not fit without cutting off the top row of the grill. I decided to just leave the factory one in.

oh.....what to do....what to do??? I really like that bugshield but don't want to mess with the grille....

 

To me, the bugshield is for cosmetic looks ONLY. It sure doesn't deflect bugs on the 07 like the older ones did. So if you're looking for functionality, forget the bugshield!!

I was hoping for functionality .....those really worked on all the other trucks I've had......not in this case though huh?
