06 2500 Flasher Problem... Please Help

This is my mom's truck. she has a 2006 2500 mega cab cummins. she is having some problems with the flashers. the following things intermittently happen when she tries to use the turn signals:
1) they dont work
2) the wrong one works
3) they work, but flash left, right, left, right, left, right, etc, etc
4) they come on and will not go off until the truck is shut off
5) sometimes they work normally

i am thinking the easiest thing to do is to start with replacing the flasher. Does this truck have the conventional round flasher in the fuse box? i am looking in the FSM and cannot seem to find it anywhere. i would look for it myself, but i am in portland, or on business and she is in dallas. i keep telling her to go take it to the dealer, but she cant be without her truck all day as she uses it for work.

any help would be appreciated.

The multifunction switch ( turn signals/flasher/wipers/high beam) seems to be a common problem on these trucks. Everything is routed through the FCM or some people refer to it as the TIPM. So I guess to answer your question, no. No flasher on that truck.

New extended warranty on the multifunction turn switch. Covered by Dodge for ten years now.

Had my switch repalced twice now. Every once in a while the wipers will do an extra intermittent extra wipe. Don't know if that is related but the other fixes have worked. First one was fixed with original warranty, the second was replaced under extended warranty.
