Is there an external amp for the Infinity sound system in an o4.5 Ram? I just installed a radio but have no sound, wondering if it could be in the amp.

 

yes, I believe they are at each speaker, a small plastic box mounted in the doors..... nightmare to go through and remove....... especially when paying top dollar for the infinity. I did not have the infinity system, I am just goin on what I have heard. Not sure what kind of sound you wold get going from your new head unit and bypassing the amps.

Ditto Above. My 04.5 had the Infinity system and the amp was up in the dash behind the glove box. Have to practically remove the dash to get to it. The front 2 bolts weren't that bad to get to, but I have large hands so getting the back 3rd bolt was a bloody mess!!

 

would my 07 be the same, behind the glovebox?

 

I only replaced the front door speakers on my 07.5 . Looks like the same type setup so I could be pretty sure your amp is in the same place. It's a big box, hard to miss and hard to get to.
