03-04 2wd 6 speed, what's your real world MPG?
Over the last 18k miles:
Low of 19
High of 22
Average of 20/20.5
This is filling the tank completely full, waiting for the fuel bubbles to subside, then repeat about about 3-4 times, putting 35 gallons+ in each time.
If I stopped pumping the first time the pump stopped, MPG would be WELL OVER 22mpg.
Filling procedure is often overlooked when talking about MPG, and makes a difference.

HO six speed, 4.10 rear end. I get about 19 around town. I get 20 on the road if I stay under 70. It goes down quickly to 17 on the road at 80. I tow a 16,000 pound high profile fiver and get a consistent 12.7 on long trips like to Alaska or Newfoundland. My calculator is consistently within .1 to .2 of hand calculated.

MPG is an average over thousands of miles.
Tank fill consistency is meaningless as one cannot avoid variations.
