Thanks! I see they arrived on the site yesterday... I must have over looked them. It will be interesting to see how people use the POD. I was thinking that POD meant you could readily switch between catcher settings. However, it seems that POD is just a way of derating a given power setting?

Correct. It allows you to set the MAXIMUM catcher setting you want to run on the truck, then back the power down from there to give yourself a docile daily driver/safe tower/etc. It also incorporates "stock" programming under SW0, something I have been using lately.

SW0 has always been there right? I've never used it. Broncohound, why have you been using the "stock" programming? Is this for MPG?

0 has always been there but, until version 18, it was half power setting. now it is stock power setting.

Correct, SW0 has always been around but, as mentioned, prior to the PoD release it was a "half-power" tune that was intended for emissions purposes. Now it is near-stock programming, so it is actually driveable. I've been messing with it looking for fuel economy and also to try and keep my OEM clutch from giving out any sooner than it has to. With recently moving and starting a new job, having to shell out $1500 for a new clutch is NOT on my hope-for list right now.

Here is a thread on CF where I logged all my beta testing impressions from the PoD firmware. There is a bunch of fluff in the thread but a bunch of good data and reports as well; it's a worthwhile read. Im not sure if posting a link to a thread on another forum is taboo on this one or not, but I'm sure I'll hear about it from the mods if it is.

Wow, that is one heck of a long thread there. I barely have enough time to read these ones here! Thanks for confirming what SW0 is now and refreshing my memory on what it was. I was originally just looking for economy like Broncohound, but since I don't get to drive my truck much (pretty much just tow my toyhauler with it) I am hooked on the Smarty power now as well. I will be installing the POD as the ability to detune from the big power of the higher settings on demand sounds like a cool way to go.

Thought I would give a report on the POD 18-ME. I am running SW-7 at 80% Truck feels real Strong and the Motor Sound GREAT! This seems to be my swet spot for Fuel 19 lowest 21 highest. We will see when we get good fuel again.
If you guys are still waiting to switch do it you will be glad you did.
Thanks J,C,
