Did anyone replace thier DPF with a gutted out one , to give a stealth look when running Smarty or H&S?

 

why would somone gut it when they can just remove it.

 

I see what youre saying, but sounds like a hassle.

 

To maybe pass a dot visual inspection. I don't know if a change back to stock tune would throw a code with an empty dpf? just thinking of making the yearly emission test easier.

 

A code no, a bunch of codes yes.


If you want to go that route and do visual inspections I would get ahold of a second DPF and NOX can to experiment with, just in case you end up needing yours.

It might work on a visual if you just gut them and run a Smarty on SW0 for testing.
