The edge will work you just have to use the a fooler box or sims in the dpf. The edge will clear codes on start up for egr/cooler.

I would suggest going with the Smarty or H&S programmers and delete away. Worth you $ in many ways. I deleted at just before 5K and have 9K now... Love it!

There is a reason the Edge was for sale cheap? I believe you should have Sims on your exhaust connections and have the NOX/DPF removed.

The real solution is a programmer like the Smarty sr/jr or H&S. I don't think the Edge does anything with the EGR. The programmer will allow you to disable it in 5 minutes per instructions.

The Smarty from MADS is the way to go. Deletes have been done 3 months ago and not 1 issue. Everything just works. If I can offer a suggestion, put the Edge back up for sale and put that cash towards the smarty. Just my unasked for 2 cents.

Ive been telling him that. I bet it still smells new inside.

I did mine at 17k, 61k now.

Knowing what I know now, If I were to get a new truck, the only non deleted mileage it would have on it would be the trip home.

Whoa there guys! I just put about 800 miles on her in 1 week (last week)! That's a pretty large percentage of the total there...

Yes, it does still smell (and looks) new. I'm ready to clean it again too. Yes, I am a bit nuts about this truck . This is my first real truck and wanted such my entire life and hopefully it will be the last one.

Now, if I just keep the local dealership from leaving me messages about coming in for the J35 recall... Going to let them change my oil because they have great deals and I'm gonna have to tell them don't bring your computer anywhere near that thing!

I would run the smarty/edge stack. You'll have the nice features of the edge and use the smarty for deletes and tuning. Which edge you getting? The edge works well if your spraying methanol/H2O

I ran the Smedge S67 with Attitude stack for a while. Be mindful of the EGT's they get real toasty real quick.

That why you spray methanol/H2O. You can run two/three nozzles and a couple soleniods. You get better egt and power/fuel mileage with the timing advanced/no fuel. Been doing this for years with my older truck. You gain 70rwhp, 1-2mpg and you have no egt's. Helps cool everything off on the long hill climbs pulling your RV. Down side, is you need a 5 gallon tank for the water/methanol.
