back again I posted in wrong plce earlier. I headed advice and took the plunge I just recieved my Smarty JR67 ME delete have not installed yet, when I do I will just disable EGR Cooler and TV I have a cel now and dealer says EGR valve is stuck open, is this a problem as I venture into my deletes, or is this the position the valve should in for deletes??
next question thye smarty manual states that after programming ECM is done, unplug the smarty, I have never done any of these things before , so does this mean the smarty does not have to be plugged while driving vehicle?? and does the smarty need to be plugged in only when you are changing program perameters ??

I would venture to say that the Smarty and deletes would take care of the EGR code you are getting now.

And you are correct, the Smarty does not have to remain plugged in while driving, only when you want to modify or change any settings.
