codes

i installed egr dpf deletes on my neighbors truck,07 2500 6.7 jr smarty w/upgrades .....he drove 25 miles and cel came on, i don't remember the number,it was one of these
P-0471-Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 Performance
P-0472-Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 Low
P-0473-Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 High
i thought the smarty wouldn't allow any codes related to deletes

Did you get the ME version or not? If you did get the ME version then don't disconnect the electrical to the module by the tranny. Just the hoses...

I got something similar when first running mine. On the MADS site it says that pending on the loop cycle of the function block logic programming that when the Smarty is installed a few codes may show up.

Try clearing them and running for a while and see if they continue to pop up. If they do, it would be a hardware problem and/or a mismatch of the Smarty mode and deletes.

i think i see the problemthanks...........can you post a pic of the connector i should leave connected....will it cause any problems ? i don't have access to the truck until late today

I don't have a picture of the pressure module, but it is bolted to/near the trans and only the rubber hoses should be taken off of it. The only electric connection to be disconnected underneath are the two O2 sensors (and they can stay plugged in and useless if your configuration of exhaust still has the bungs for them).

I just put a bolt in my delete pipe, unplugged, and left the O2 sensors with the stock emmisions.

Read what Lil Dog posted a couple times to make sure the engine compartment is right.
